Connectors Overview

Connectors let tenants connect Chyper workflows to external tools.

Step 1: Plan Connector Ownership

  1. Identify connector owner (team + individual).
  2. Define the connector purpose and expected outcomes.
  3. Decide whether the connector should be tenant-wide or project-limited.

Step 2: Add the Connector

  1. Open Connectors in the Web UI.
  2. Select provider from the catalog.
  3. Authorize with approved credentials.
  4. Save connector configuration.

Step 3: Validate in a Pilot Project

  1. Run a read-oriented test action.
  2. Confirm data scope and permission behavior.
  3. Review outputs with project owner.

Step 4: Apply Access Policy

  • Allow connector usage only for required roles.
  • Restrict write actions where possible.
  • Require approvals for sensitive workflows.

Step 5: Move to Production Use

  1. Enable in target projects.
  2. Monitor connector health and failure rates.
  3. Rotate credentials periodically.
  4. Retire unused connectors.
