Connectors Overview
Connectors let tenants connect Chyper workflows to external tools.
Step 1: Plan Connector Ownership
- Identify connector owner (team + individual).
- Define the connector purpose and expected outcomes.
- Decide whether the connector should be tenant-wide or project-limited.
Step 2: Add the Connector
- Open
Connectorsin the Web UI. - Select provider from the catalog.
- Authorize with approved credentials.
- Save connector configuration.
Step 3: Validate in a Pilot Project
- Run a read-oriented test action.
- Confirm data scope and permission behavior.
- Review outputs with project owner.
Step 4: Apply Access Policy
- Allow connector usage only for required roles.
- Restrict write actions where possible.
- Require approvals for sensitive workflows.
Step 5: Move to Production Use
- Enable in target projects.
- Monitor connector health and failure rates.
- Rotate credentials periodically.
- Retire unused connectors.
